I am a church planter in downtown Cincinnati, OH. I am married to Laura and I have three children. I have a B. A. from Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and an M. Div. from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. My wife and I have also served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ for seven years at the University of Louisville.
We are planting a church in downtown, Cincinnati, OH. It
is a beautiful city with a rich history. It also has a history of racial tension. The only thing that can heal the racial divide is the gospel. There are many things that can help, but only Jesus can truly unite people who would otherwise have nothing else in common.
God has called me to plant this church with this specific vision in mind.
Therefore, our calling is to plant a church that is a racially diverse community of Christians, centered on the gospel.
The reason why every human being was created was to worship God. This picture is captured in Revelation chapter 5:9-10, where Jesus is described in this way:
you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is most beautiful and compelling when it reflects his desire: a unified body.
By God’s grace, we want to make that happen through a racially unified church in Cincinnati.
